Holiday Puppy Chow

Puppy chow brings me back to being a kid again. My mom used to make this often when I was a child and it never gets old. Around the holidays, I begin to crave it! Today I am throwing in a little Christmas twist to go with the chow!

Ingredients:

12 oz rice Chex mix

1 11 oz bag red & green m&ms

4 cups of mini pretzels

1 10 oz bag of small marshmallows

12 oz white chocolate bark (6 cubes)

2 gallon zip lock bags

1. Take your chocolate and place into a microwaveable bowl. I used 6 cubes of white chocolate bark for this recipe, but if you would like to add another cube or two then go for it. Microwave for one minute and thirty seconds. Take out and stir. Microwave in 15-30 second intervals, making sure to stir in between.

2. Pour your box of Chex into a large bowl. Pour the melted chocolate on top. Use a silicone spatula and begin folding the chocolate into the Chex until it is evenly coated.

3. Pour the Chex into two separate gallon zip lock bags. Pouring into two bags will give more space for the Chex to move around. Pour in 1/2 cup of powdered sugar into each bag. Zip up tight and begin lightly shaking the bag until all of the Chex is coated with powdered sugar.

4. This makes quite a bit, so make sure to pour into a big enough bowl or container. I bought a large aluminum pan from the Dollar Tree and it was the perfect size.

5. Add in your bag of m&ms, marshmallows and about 4 cups pretzels. Mix everything around together and it is ready to eat! Wasn’t that super easy? This is perfect for holiday parties, goodie bags, or just for snacking around the house .
